Alright! I'm 2 for 2!

First off: Thank you Miko_no_da *grovels at feet* Those tips you gave me were EXACTLY what I was looking for, to make the pic look right. *happy dance*.

Here's the scene from TGTBT ch.2 that the pic is based on (SPOILERS):

Drawing a shaky breath, he managed to give Zack a small but genuine smile. Gods, he hadn't smiled this much in a long time. "Well, I've always been proud to have you as a friend," he said, his voice only a little rough. "Even when you were at your most irritating. So now what?"

"Now we finish off the alcohol, while trading stories about our time in Shinra to help jog each other's memories," Zack declared, reaching for his bottle again. "Then we're going to crash, sleep like logs, and tomorrow we'll head off to Midgar to start fresh. Together." He grinned. "I may be a little late in delivering what I kept promising you while we were on the run, but better late than never." He lifted his full glass. "To you and me, kid, and a brand new start."

His heart shining in his eyes, Cloud lifted his glass and knocked it against Zack's. "To you and me," he agreed, his smile widening. He couldn't remember ever being happier to make a toast. Nothing short of death was going to separate them again, he swore to himself. After everything their friendship had already survived, it would take an act of the gods to tear them apart now.


It felt wierd making Zack so pale and icky. He strikes me as a person that would tan really well and fast. But he's been in a mako tank for 3 years, no bronzy tan for Zack. But as the pics continue along with the story he'll be getting darker, obviously.

Oh ya. Just so you know, I knew from the get go that Zack and Cloud were drinking Vodka. ....but I've decided that Vodka in the FFVII world is GREEN!....why? because I didn't know how to paint clear/no color liquid, I have a hard enough time doing colored liquid. *sheepish* So their drinks are just blobs of green in their glasses. I fail!

I really wanted to do this scene, so I did. I also wanted to do something diffrent. I didn't want to do another profile shot. But I couldn't figure out how I could get both of their faces in the pic, if they're supposed to be facing eachother. I stewed on it for about a day, and then when I was reading a manga, I noticed something. I can't really explain it well, but this is what I was trying to achieve in my pic.

What I intended for it to look like was, Cloud from Zacks point of view, and Zack from Clouds point of view. They are sitting across from eachother, looking at eachother. I tried to pull it off, but I think I failed. Well according to my family anyway. Mom thought they were sitting at either side of a table, facing the same way. My sister and dad thought that too. But thanks to some suggestions from Miko I think it protrays that better now. You be the judge

I'm slowly developing my drawing style pic per pic. I think I've almost found what I like, not there yet, but almost. I used a different coloring technique this time, I actually really like it.

I hope I protrayed the scene good enough. I really wanted to bring the emotion of the scene out into the picture. The companionship, how easily they fall back into the old friendship. I tried to at least get emotion into Clouds eyes. But I might have failed there too, I think it came out kinda flat
